Mardi Gras dress and Poodle skirt outfit for Meadow

Check out Meadow in her Mardi Gras dress. I told you her mom likes to have outfits in special  holiday prints

Buying a Ruffler was so exciting for me when I started concentrating on making little girls clothes. What is a little girls outfit without a ruffle ??When I first bought it I played with it for hours, figuring it out was not so easy. I did however finally get the swing of it, but I still jam my fingers in it, often  break a few  needles and curse through it all. Its still easier however than making a ton of ruffles all by hand. Chris and Chelsea spent weeks making fun of me saying all the time..."RUFFLESSSSSSS...

Here is a petticoat poodle skirt-  I made for Meadow for a 50's theme first grade school dance . I did the skirt all by hand without the Ruffler .This took forever but she looked so damn cute. I made the little tank and jacket to go along with it. I applied a great applique and made my first fabric flower on the jacket!

She looked so cute . Lots of dancing going on!!

Oh and while I had that ruffler out , lets put a ruffle on the hem and make those jeans a little longer. This fairy has long wings and long legs !
